Nature's Solutions(TM) Flower essences for cats
Our feline friends can experience very rich and complex emotional lives. Just observe a cat engaging with another. A range of emotions is often exhibited in both cats - anything from delight to shyness to jealousy etc. Furthermore, many cats are very “tuned” in to what is going on around them. They can often sense the subtle, as well as the more obvious, things "going on" in their environment. This includes the moods and emotions of the people and animals in their lives.
As their guardians and friends, we can provide a lot of support for our cats on an emotional level. Firstly, we can be aware of their emotional state and try and identify emotional and / or behavioural difficulties. Having recognised these, we can then try to “remedy” the situation - and flower essence remedies are a wonderful way to do just that! They can help cats deal with and work through a great number of emotional issues. In doing so, essences can afford cats greater inner peace and happiness, which in turn enhances their overall health and wellbeing
Nature's Solutions™ flower essences can be very beneficial for cats experiencing emotional difficulties. Below, please find a list of common conditions cats can experience and the suggested remedies for such conditions
When selecting essences for your cat, it is helpful to first try and establish what is “going on” with him/her.
e.g. is she perhaps skitty because a new cat has moved into the neighbourhood and is tormenting her and she is afraid of him?.
In other words, try and establish if something is causing the behaviour / symptoms. If so, it's usually very helpful to address the cause alongside the symptoms. Hence, the skitty cat may benefit from Courage formula and well as Skitty.
In addressing the cause as well as the symptoms, the animal is usually afforded a much greater chance to heal his imbalances and achieve greater emotional wellbeing. This is then reflected in a more positive and obvious change in their behaviour
Each essence formula is a combination of 4-6 different flower essences. The essences can be placed into the cat’s food or milk- if they detect the remedy, try to disguise it with a strong smelling food e.g. sardines. (Cats also tend to readily accept a little cream with flower essences added!) If tolerated by the cat, one can also (carefully) place a few drops directly in the cat’s mouth (making sure to clean the dropper afterwards)
The dosage is generally 4 -7 drops a day, preferably at night. “Emergency Essence” and “Calming Essence” however can be given whenever they are needed. e.g. every 15 minutes during a stressful situation.
The appropriate formula is usually given for 1-2 weeks and repeated later if needed.
